Dragon's Lair follows Dirk the Daring as he ventures through dangerous dungeons to rescue Princess Daphne from the dragon Singe. The game adapts the laserdisc arcade adventure into trial-and-error computer and console gameplay.

Across nine distinct scenes, Dirk must survive falling disks, hostile creatures, burning ropes, animated weapons, disappearing ramps, a deadly checkerboard duel with the Phantom Knight and Singe's fiery breath. Precise movement, timely jumps, evasive maneuvers and sword attacks are essential to reaching the magic sword and defeating the dragon.
