Duke Nukem 3D

Duke Nukem 3D shifts the series from side-scrolling platform action to a first-person shooter set in a futuristic Los Angeles overrun by aliens, mutated humans, and Pig Cops.

Across 28 levels in three episodes, Duke explores streets, a church, a space station, a Japanese villa, a football field, and other modern environments. The game combines action-focused combat with environmental puzzles and secret areas.

Gameplay

• Use pistols, pipe bombs, laser trip mines, Nordenfelt guns, a chain gun, rocket launchers, and Duke’s mighty foot.
• Interact with and destroy environmental objects, including pool tables, arcade machines, glass, light switches, and security cameras.
• Find medikits, steroids, night vision, protective boots, the Holoduke, and a jetpack.
• Play deathmatch and cooperative games through IPX network play.

Duke also comments on events with one-liners throughout the game.
