Dumbo's Flying Circus

Dumbo's Flying Circus is an unreleased Atari 2600 action game developed by Atari and scheduled for the company’s children’s series.

Players guide Dumbo around the screen to catch or shoot balloons before they reach the top. Balloons carrying bombs must be destroyed with peanuts from Dumbo’s trunk. Some balloons carry clowns; these must be shot, followed by catching the falling clown before he reaches the bottom.

Every three balloons that reach the top lower the ceiling, reducing the available play area. Safely catching clowns and winning the bonus round can raise it again. The game was advertised in European Atari catalogs and had a prototype box, but it was ultimately unreleased.
