About this game

Dynamite Duke is a futuristic action game that combines shooting with close-quarters beat ’em up combat. Playing as the heavily armed Dynamite Duke, players raid an island command controlled by a power-hungry Colonel and his mutant army.

The six-level assault features machine guns, bazookas, tanks, assault helicopters, and mutant soldiers. Duke can also fight at close range with elbow bashes, kicks, uppercuts, gunstock smashes, and his powerful bionic punch. The campaign culminates in a confrontation with the Colonel inside an Atomic Reactor stronghold.

The game was developed by Hertz, Sanritsu Denki, and Seibu Kaihatsu, and published by Hertz, Sega, and Seibu Kaihatsu. It was released in 1988 for arcade and a range of home platforms, including Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Final Burn Alpha Neo, and Sharp X68000.
