Competitive tower-building puzzle action with bombs, meteors, and multiple game modes.
The briefing
Egg Mania: Eggstreme Madness is a competitive puzzle game in which players control egg-shaped characters and build towers toward a balloon at the top of the play field. Victory goes to the player who reaches it first, whether competing against the computer or another player through a link cable.
Players must construct complete floors while dealing with hazards and interference. Incomplete structures can crumble and cause the water to rise faster, while falling meteors can knock characters down and opponent-thrown bombs can destroy sections of a tower.
The console versions feature improved graphics and sound, opening cutscenes for each level, a play area widened by one block, and additional 8-player Tournament and Custom modes. The Custom mode allows different options to be activated to adjust the rules. They do not include the Time Trial mode found in the Game Boy Advance version.
