A single-screen missile defense shooter inspired by Missile Command.
The briefing
Armageddon is a single-screen shooter based on the arcade game Missile Command. As the commander of a missile battery, you must protect six cities from nuclear tracers falling from the top of the screen.
Move the cross-hair and fire a limited supply of missiles, timing their explosions to destroy the incoming trails. Cities hit by a tracer are destroyed, and losing them all ends the game. A plane may pass across the screen for bonus points when destroyed.
After each wave, bonus points are awarded for surviving cities and unused missiles before the battery is re-armed. On Commodore 64, wind speed can be selected from 0 to 9, with zero representing no wind.
