The briefing

About this game

Empire Soccer 94 is a football game with an intentionally comical and unrealistic style. Its top-down matches take place on a small, square pitch where the oversized players create an unusual presentation.

Players can master moves such as overhead kicks, trapping the ball, and quick 1-2 passes. Before each match, special abilities can be assigned to individual players, including dramatically curving power shots, super dribbling that keeps the ball attached to the player's foot, and the Barge power for pushing opponents aside.

Modes and Features

  • Full World Cup tournament for up to 8 human players
  • Single exhibition matches
  • Action replays with VCR-style controls

Developed by Graftgold and published by Empire Software, Empire Soccer 94 was released in 1993 for Amiga and DOS.
