Arcade racing endurance challenge from Activision

The briefing

About this game

Enduro is an arcade racing game centered on the National Enduro, a long-distance endurance race. Players must avoid other racers and pass 200 cars on the first day, followed by 300 cars on each subsequent day, to continue racing.

Changing conditions affect visibility and control. At night, only the taillights of oncoming cars can be seen, while icy patches reduce vehicle control and fog limits visibility. As the days progress, the traffic becomes more difficult to avoid.

Released in 1983, Enduro was developed and published by Activision. It was released for the Atari 2600 and Sinclair ZX Spectrum, with Polyvox also listed as a publisher.
