About this game

Energy is a side-scrolling platform shooter developed by Quasar Soft and published by Masaya. Released on April 19, 1989, it is based on Ashe, a 1988 Japanese PC-8801 game.

After a powerful earthquake unleashes mutant monsters across Tokyo, survivors send a team from their underground hideout to investigate and confront the threat. Players control a young fighter with psionic powers, known as ESP, who fires energy balls as his primary defense. Supportive characters encountered throughout the game provide clues about the unfolding story.
