England Championship Special

England Championship Special is a top-down football game centered on the English national squad. Its team lineup reflects the 1991 status quo, featuring players including Waddle, Beardsley, Wright, Robson, and Gascoigne.

The game presents a fictionalized European tournament in which seven nations compete for the title, progressing from group matches to the finals. It does not use the official European Championship license.

Gameplay

Inspired by the style and perspective of Kick Off, the game emphasizes fast action and straightforward controls. A single action key handles kicks, slides, and headers. Primitive artificial intelligence, minimal penalties, and no cards support a simple, goal-focused experience.

Weather is represented by wind velocities, though the wind does not affect the ball.
