The briefing

About this game

Eragon is an action-adventure and hack-and-slash game based on the film of the same name, itself based on Christopher Paolini’s novel. The player controls Saphira, Eragon’s dragon companion, across nine levels involving enemy attacks, ally protection, high-speed racing, and clearing pathways.

Saphira can use her talons to grab enemies and large objects, which can then be dropped onto targets below. She also has offensive and defensive spells, along with braking, reversing, and boost abilities. Her health can be restored by eating livestock.

Six arena levels become available through the single-player campaign. These stages support battles involving up to three computer-controlled or human opponents across 12 game modes. The PSP version is distinct from the other versions, focusing entirely on Saphira rather than prominently featuring Eragon.
