About this game

Escape Kids is a 1990 Konami arcade racing game for up to four players. Instead of controlling vehicles, players guide runners around single-screen tracks while competing against five racers, including the black-clothed champion who must be beaten to advance.

Each race lasts three laps. Runners can use a speed boost and a limited supply of super-jumps while avoiding obstacles and other competitors. Track icons can provide extra speed, grant a super-jump, or trigger an earthquake that knocks down every racer.

After a race, players can improve abilities such as skid reduction, strength, super-jump capacity, and recovery speed. Winning three races consecutively unlocks a bicycle bonus game focused on collecting more money.
