About this game

European Football Champ brings fast-paced arcade football to Amiga, Arcade, and Atari ST/STE. Released in 1991 to coincide with the 1992 European Championships, it presents the pitch through horizontally scrolling, angled gameplay.

Only a small section of the field is visible at once, while an on-screen scanner provides an overview of the entire pitch. After a goal, the game recreates the coin-op's close-up zoom effect. A referee is present, but his lapses in attention can allow players to foul, punch, or side-swipe opponents. One- and two-player options are included.
