About this game

Exvania is a 2D multiplayer arcade game from Namco, released in Japan in 1992. Drawing on a maze-based battle format, it places four human or CPU-controlled medieval characters—Ward, Emilio, Charles, and Karl—in a contest to seize control of a series of castles.

Each match begins with the players positioned in the four corners of the screen. They use chain whips to crush walls and stun opponents, while bombs can trap and eliminate rivals. Winning a battle earns a medal; after collecting three medals, a character takes control of the current castle and the game advances to the next one.
