The briefing
F1 2002 is a Formula 1 racing game built around responsive handling, a smooth framerate, and a strong sense of speed. Its cars are modeled with settings for tires, aerodynamics, gearboxes, and brakes, alongside distinct gear, top-speed, RPM, and engine-curve characteristics.
The official FIA license includes 17 real circuits, 11 teams, and 22 official drivers. Races can feature crashes, withdrawals, engine failures, and records broken in real time. An audio system simulates up to four engines at once, including gear changes, power, and Doppler effects.
