Famicom Mukashibanashi: Yuuyuuki - Kouhen

Famicom Mukashibanashi: Yuuyuuki: Kouhen is an adventure and visual novel for the Family Computer Disk System, developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo. Released on November 14, 1989, it draws on the ancient Chinese novel Journey to the West.

The game follows Goku and Chao, an original character, as they travel separate journeys toward a meeting. Goku is accompanied by Sanzo, Hakkai, and Gojo, who are presented with comedic, lazy, and greedy personalities.

Players guide the characters through command-based interactions, including talking, examining, picking up objects, and investigating people and items. A central feature allows switching between Goku and Chao during the adventure.
