About this game

Famicom Mukashibanashi: Yuuyuuki: Zenpen is a menu-driven adventure game for the Family Computer Disk System. Inspired by the ancient Chinese novel Journey to the West, it follows the separate journeys of Goku and Chao, an original character, as they work toward meeting one another.

Players can switch between the two protagonists when available and interact with the world through commands such as talking, examining, and picking up objects. Goku travels alongside Sanzo, Hakkai, and Gojo, who receive a comedic portrayal as lazy and greedy companions.
