Family Jockey

Family Jockey is a top-down horse racing game for the Family Computer, developed and published by Namco. It supports one player or two players simultaneously.

Gameplay

Before each race, choose a horse with different abilities in areas such as speed, stamina, and jumping. Use the whip to increase speed, but manage it carefully because whipping reduces energy.

Races take place across lawn and dirt surfaces, with some courses featuring obstacles that must be jumped. You need to finish at least fourth to continue, while higher placements provide more prize money.

Modes

• A racing-focused mode centered on competition.
• Family Game, which combines racing with betting.
