Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is a horror adventure set around the mysterious Mount Hikami, where Yuri, Miu, and Ren become connected through an ominous supernatural mystery. Their journey leads through abandoned apartments, forest paths, and haunted shrines populated by restless spirits.

To survive, players wield the Camera Obscura, a supernatural camera that damages apparitions when they are captured in its viewfinder. Framing Spirit Fragments in follow-up shots increases attack power, while different film types and lenses provide faster reloads, increased stopping power, and other advantages.

Water is central to the game’s atmosphere and mechanics. Becoming soaked attracts more ghosts but also increases the Camera Obscura’s spirit power, creating an uneasy balance between danger and strength.
