About this game

Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory is a fighting game developed and published by SNK. Set two years after the second King of Fighters tournament, it follows Terry, Andy, Joe, Mai, and Geese as they return to South Town and confront five new characters and three bosses connected to a scroll containing the secret of a lost ancient martial art.

The game introduces the three-plane Oversway System. Fighters primarily battle on the middle plane but can move into foreground and background sway lines, with attacks between planes known as Oversway Attacks. Other additions include air blocking, combination arts, new special and super moves, and alternate, more powerful super moves usable once per round.

Fatal Fury 3 also features redrawn character sprites, improved animation, new 2D environments, a world map, and a computer-controlled ranking system ranging from D to triple S. The player’s average ranking determines the final opponents in single-player mode.
