About this game

Fatal Fury: First Contact is a 1999 fighting game developed and published by SNK. It is the only Fatal Fury title released for SNK’s color handheld and uses a distinctive Super-Deformed Japanese artwork style.

Based on Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers, the game features Breakshots, allowing special moves while blocking, along with powerful S. Power and P. Power attacks. Li Xiangfei and Rick Strowd join the returning cast as new combatants.

Hardware limitations led to the removal of some characters and the background and foreground battle-plane system. The initial roster includes Andy Bogard, Terry Bogard, Joe Higashi, Mai Shiranui, Kim Kaphwan, Ryuji Yamazaki, Rick Strowd, Li Xiangfei, Billy Kane, Wolfgang Krauser, and Geese Howard.
