A Game & Watch action game about defending a base from incoming attackers

The briefing

About this game

Fire Attack is an action game for Game & Watch systems. Players control a cowboy wielding a hammer, striking incoming attackers and torches before the base is set ablaze.

Each successful hit is worth two points. Missing three times results in Game Over. Reaching 200 or 500 points without a miss temporarily increases the value of each hit to five points; reaching either score with misses instead clears the accumulated misses.

Game Modes

  • Game A: Attackers arrive from three directions and change positions and approach directions after a miss.
  • Game B: Attackers arrive from four directions, and the action speeds up sooner.

Developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo, Fire Attack was released in 1981.
