About this game

Firestorm is a top-down shooter released for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in 1985. The game combines arcade combat with puzzle-like challenges as Firestorm attempts to rescue his girlfriend from a criminal organization's citadel.

The citadel is a large maze spanning 12 levels. Firestorm can create destructive fireballs, control computer memory banks, and move inanimate objects using telekinesis. Progress requires fighting enemies while avoiding hazards such as floor sweeps and pyramid-shaped corridor columns known as derezzers.
