About this game

Flood is a platform game with puzzle-focused level design, developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts for Amiga and Atari ST.

Each level requires Quiffy to collect every piece of litter before reaching the exit. He can climb most walls and ceilings and swim through water, but must manage his air supply because he can breathe only above the surface. Dangerous objects drain his energy, while certain lethal hazards can kill him instantly.

Rising Water and Pursuit

Taps gradually fill many levels with water. The water flows toward the lowest available point, and multiple taps increase the filling rate, potentially flooding the entire area and removing Quiffy's access to air.

Quiffy is also pursued by the ghost of his Aunt Matilda. She follows his movements from behind, moves slightly faster, and hurts him on contact. With its experimental gameplay and quirky humor, Flood combines platforming, environmental hazards, and collection-based puzzles.
