Royal errands and arcade-style challenges at Buckingham Palace

The briefing

About this game

Flunky, also known as Mad Flunky, is an action-adventure and arcade game associated with Don Priestley and Five Ways Software and published by Piranha.

Players take control of a flunky serving the British Royal Family and guide him around Buckingham Palace. Royal family members assign tasks one at a time, with solutions involving item use, exploration, and action-oriented challenges. Successfully completing an assignment allows the flunky to obtain an autograph from the satisfied individual. After completing enough tasks, he can undertake the final assignment for The Queen.

The game is noted for Don Priestley’s large, colourful graphics, including a ZX Spectrum presentation designed to avoid attribute clash problems.
