About this game

Fortress of the Witch King combines role-playing and turn-based strategy. Players build an army and prepare to assault the Witch King's Fortress by defeating roaming monsters and minions to raise gold.

Gold can be used to hire wizards, warriors, scouts, clerics, and raiders. Encounters are presented in text, while a map screen provides an overview of the landscape. Players must also find artifacts and special items before entering the fortress.

The game supports up to four players in hot-seat play. It was developed by Microcomputer Games, Inc. and published by The Avalon Hill Game Company.
