About this game

Fossil Fighters: Champions is an adventure role-playing game for Nintendo DS centered on excavating and cleaning dinosaur fossils. Cleaned fossils can be revived into vivosaurs, which players arrange into teams for strategic battles.

A fossil park hosts a large-scale tournament where Fossil Fighters from around the world compete to become champion. Players can discover giant fossil rocks containing complete dinosaur fossils and odd fossil rocks with two-sided designs. The quality of fossil cleaning affects a vivosaurs’ battle power.

Features

  • Build teams of three vivosaurs and rotate their positions during battles.
  • Use gold fossils to help super evolver vivosaurs take on new forms.
  • Compete in matchmaking battles and upload a team to test it against others.
  • Download additional vivosaurs and events.
  • Use DS Download Play to wirelessly cooperate with up to three nearby Nintendo DS players while cleaning fossils.

The game was released for Nintendo DS on November 14, 2011. Its Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection features are no longer available following the service’s retirement on May 20, 2014, while offline play remains available.
