Frank N Stein

Frank N Stein is an arcade horror platform game set in Professor F. N. Stein’s laboratory, located in his castle in the Black Forest. The game features 50 screens that require timing, logic, and planning.

Players guide Professor Stein through the dungeon to collect bones in the correct order and assemble his monster. Once the parts are gathered, throwing a switch activates it. Taking longer to complete a screen increases the charge given to the monster, making it angrier.

Hazards and opposition

The dungeon is filled with obstacles and enemies, including snails, bats, slippery ice, fireman’s poles, man-eating pumpkins, spiders, slowing slime, caterpillars, tanks, springs, electrifying light bulbs, mice, lobsters, snakes, bumble bees, and jack-in-the-boxes.
