The briefing

About this game

Frogger is a classic arcade action game developed by Konami. Players guide frogs from the bottom of the screen to one of five homes at the top, crossing traffic-filled roads and a river populated by logs, turtles, alligators, snakes, and otters.

Gameplay

A four-direction joystick controls the frog, with each input producing a single hop. Players must avoid vehicles, water, hazards, occupied homes, and other dangers while using logs, turtles, and alligators as platforms. Each level has a one-minute time limit, and completing all five homes advances the game with increased difficulty.

Arcade Features

  • Standard upright and cocktail cabinet formats
  • One-player gameplay with a maximum of two players
  • Three, five, or seven starting frogs, depending on operator settings
  • Two Z80 processors in the arcade version
