About this game

Front Mission 2 is a tactical role-playing game and the second entry in the main Front Mission storyline. Developed and published by Square, it was released in Japan for the Sony PlayStation on September 25, 1997.

Set in O.C.U. Alordesh in June 2102, the game follows O.C.U. soldier Ash Faruk and officer Lisa Stanley as the Alordesh Army revolts against O.C.U. control. After escaping the attack on Rimian Naval Base, Ash and the Muddy Otters join surviving O.C.U. units while an expeditionary force attempts to reclaim the nation. Lisa and her unit investigate the Alordesh Army’s movements for the regular army.

Gameplay

Building on the foundation of Front Mission, the game introduces expanded tactical systems. More weapons have range-based attacks, terrain affects accuracy and counterattacks, and most weapons use ammunition. Its notable Action Point and Honor systems further distinguish it from its predecessor.
