A mischievous kart racer with clan-based competition, karma, tricks, and four-player Xbox modes.
The briefing
Furious Karting is a kart racing game released for Microsoft Xbox on March 18, 2003. Players choose between two racer clans and compete on tracks ranging from seedy slums to shopping malls.
Alongside conventional kart-racing power-ups such as speed boosts and rockets, racers can use tricks to earn a temporary speed boost. An aluminum bat can knock opponents off their karts, but doing so affects a karma meter and can change how other racers treat the player in later races. Apologizing can counteract this effect.
The Xbox version supports up to four players across two modes. Classic follows the base single-player game, while Jam challenges players to acquire a CD and hold it for a limited time to win.
