Sega’s 1984 isometric arcade shooter on Zaxxon hardware

The briefing

About this game

Future Spy is an arcade isometric shoot-'em-up released by Sega in 1984 and built on Sega Zaxxon hardware. Unlike Zaxxon, the game does not require players to continually adjust their aircraft’s height.

The controls separate attacks by target: one button fires at airborne enemies, while another drops bombs on ground targets. Future Spy was not ported to home platforms during its first few years, though it later appeared in Sega Mega Drive Collection in 2006.
