Turn-based tactical shooter with destructible battlefields
The briefing
Future Tactics: The Uprising is a colourful turn-based tactical shooter developed by Zed Two and Warthog Games. Originally known as Pillage, it spent several years in development before receiving releases from Crave in the United States and JoWood in Europe.
The game features a geo-mod system that allows almost anything in the environment to be destroyed, leaving battlefields marked by craters. Its gameplay has been compared to the Worms 3D games, and its story was written by Paul Rose, formerly associated with Channel 4's Teletext video-game page Digitiser.
A Gizmondo version was planned but canceled after Tiger Telematics went bankrupt.
