About this game

Galactic Games is a space-set sports olympiad built around five distinct disciplines. Events can be played individually or combined into a tournament.

Events

  • 100 Meter Slither: Race a worm using rhythmic joystick movements while managing its slime supply.
  • Space Hockey: Compete one-on-one for 60-second rounds against a living puck that attempts to avoid the goals.
  • Psychic Judo: Attack and defend with energy bolts and shields in best-of-five, 60-second rounds.
  • Head Throwing: Build speed with rhythmic joystick movements and release the head at the right moment for maximum distance.
  • Metamorph Marathon: Guide a shape-shifting metamorph through an obstacle course, choosing between five forms while managing energy reserves.

Released in 1986, Galactic Games was published by Activision for Amstrad CPC, Commodore C64/128/MAX, and Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
