Gallop Racer

Gallop Racer is a horse racing simulator from Tecmo released in 1999 for arcade and PlayStation.

Players can take the role of a jockey or use watch mode to follow the race as a spectator. During races, jockeys manage positioning and timing by holding back, moving inside or outside, pursuing the lead, and responding to changing lanes, bumps, blocks, and lost ground on curves.

Race outcomes vary according to the racetrack, conditions, pack, and luck. Winning horses are put out to stud, while unsuccessful horses are put out to pasture.
