Gas Hog

Gas Hog is an action game for the Atari 2600, developed by Sirius Software and published by Spectravision.

Drive a vehicle with poor fuel efficiency while enemy ships attack from above and others threaten to collide near the ground. Accelerate, decelerate, jump over hazards, or shoot nearby ships as you navigate holes in the road.

Collect numbered markers by driving into them to earn their point values. Avoid shooting these markers, or their value is deducted from your score. When fuel runs low, use occasional holes to travel below ground and collect refueling markers, but return quickly because underground travel sends you in the wrong direction.

You begin with four lives and lose one when hit by a bomb or ship, or when the vehicle runs out of fuel.
