Gekirindan

Gekirindan is a vertical scrolling shooter developed and published by Taito. Players choose from three fighters: a futuristic fighter jet, a space-capable helicopter, or a remodeled old-fashioned plane.

Set across different time periods, the game follows pilots attempting to stop Huge-Boss, an unidentified mechanized being that steals a time machine in the year 3195 and uses it to destroy 3,000 years of human history. The pilots have differing motives, though they unite against the threat.

Each fighter features a distinct shot pattern that can be upgraded or changed. Additional weapons include homing lasers, diagonal-firing napalm, and missiles.
