About this game

Geometry Wars: Galaxies is an arcade shooter in which players pilot a ship across flat, 2D battlefields, firing in eight directions and using bombs to survive waves of brightly colored geometric enemies.

Unlike Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, the single-player campaign includes multiple levels with varied plane sizes and shapes, each featuring its own score goals. A selectable drone can assist with one assigned role at a time, such as providing a rotating shield or additional firepower.

Features

  • Eight-direction movement and shooting controlled primarily with analog sticks
  • Multiple single-player levels with individual score targets
  • Selectable helper drones with specialized abilities
  • Wii version includes Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
  • Wii-to-Nintendo DS connectivity for a downloadable demo and additional unlockable content

Developed by Bizarre Creations and published by Sierra Entertainment, the game was released for Wii and Nintendo DS on November 27, 2007.
