Getaway!

Getaway! is an overhead-view driving game set across 35 city screens. You control a constantly moving car, using the brake to navigate streets while collecting money and special items.

Drive over dollar signs, level-specific special items, and white vans, then return your cash to the hideout in the southeast. Fuel is limited, though gas stations allow you to refill. Roadblocks increase fuel consumption, while stop signs take all carried cash when you pass them.

Police cars pursue you, particularly when you are carrying substantial money or have hit a white van. A collision costs one of your three vehicles and all carried cash, but money already stored at the hideout remains safe. Finding three special items and then the white van raises the difficulty and increases police attention.
