The briefing

About this game

Gettysburg is a strategy wargame simulating the Battle of Gettysburg, fought from July 1–3, 1863, during the American Civil War. Players can command either Union or Confederate forces.

The battle is viewed from a 3D perspective, while commands are issued by typing predefined text elements alongside commander names, locations, and execution times. Officers provide reports on whether orders were carried out as instructed.

The game supports two-player matches and the option to watch the computer control both sides.
