An Ancient Greek labyrinth adventure of puzzles, combat, and destiny

The briefing

About this game

Gift from the Gods is an action-adventure game set in the Palace of Mycenae in Ancient Greece. As Orestes, players must follow the directions of Zeus and Apollo, avenge Agamemnon, and survive the Labyrinth beneath the palace.

The Labyrinth contains 16 special rooms holding geometric “Euclidian shapes” based on triangles, circles, and squares. Six correct shapes must be placed in the Guardian’s Chamber to reveal the exit. Electra can guide Orestes toward hidden shapes, but identifying the genuine designs among the illusory copies is left to the player.

Orestes can walk, fly, and defend himself with a sword while facing illusionary creatures that drain his strength. Water found in certain rooms restores energy and stamina. Clytaemnestra also enters the Labyrinth in pursuit of Electra, adding another threat to the quest.
