About this game

Goal! is a simple single-player football game focused on individual matches between two unnamed teams: one wearing red and the other wearing white. Its presentation uses a perspective similar to Commodore's International Soccer, but without scrolling.

Gameplay

Before a match, the only available choice is the division of the computer-controlled team. Division 2 offers the beginner setting with consistently low difficulty, while Division 1 varies the computer's skill according to the current standing in the match.

Movement is handled with four keyboard keys, while the return key performs the game's other actions. It kicks the ball when the controlled player has possession, selects the footballer closest to the ball when out of possession, and prompts the goalkeeper's save attempt against an opponent's shot.
