Turn-based kaiju strategy with arcade-style battles on Sega Game Gear

The briefing

About this game

Godzilla: Kaijuu no Daishingeki is a turn-based tactical strategy game for the Sega Game Gear, released in 1995. Players can command Godzilla and other kaiju, including Anguirus and Fire Rodan, or support humanity as the G-Force defense force.

On the strategy map, units move and attack using action points. Battles then shift to a separate screen with simple, arcade-style fighting and animations. G-Force units use tanks, artillery, and planes against enemy monsters, while some kaiju are unplayable opponents that either side may encounter.

The game includes four maps and an additional secret level.
