About this game

GP Challenge is a Formula One racing game developed and published by Midas Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation.

The game features teams with 1998-style liveries, while its four circuits are based on the 1994 season: Budapest, Estoril, Jerez, and Adelaide. Each Grand Prix can include Friday practice, Saturday qualifying, and Sunday’s race.

Game Modes

  • Single Race: Select from four circuits and compete across a Formula One race weekend.
  • Four-Race Championship Season: Race a four-event schedule, with championship points requiring manual tracking between races.

Races can be set to three or five laps, with Novice, Amateur, and Professional difficulty levels. The player drives a 1998 Ferrari associated with Eddie Irvine and cannot switch to another car, though the driver name can be changed. Driver names are fictitious, while helmet designs indicate their intended identities.
