About this game

Grid Trap is a single-screen action, arcade, and puzzle game released in 1984. Players move across a grid to reach and defuse bombs before their individual timers expire.

Every square left behind disappears, making route planning essential. A moving boot must be avoided, skulls cannot be landed on, and flags can be collected for bonus points. Rows of squares can be shifted to create new paths, while skulls and flags remain fixed. Moving off one edge of the screen brings the player back on the opposite side.

Touching the boot, landing on a skull, or allowing a bomb to explode costs one of three lives. Defusing five bombs advances the player to the next screen.
