About this game

Grumpy Gumphrey Supersleuth follows veteran store detective Gilbert Gumphrey as he handles jobs ranging from putting out fires and rescuing children to killing ducks and fetching the boss’s afternoon tea. Failing a task can lead to dismissal.

The game consists of 39 screens of puzzles, with each room presented in forced-perspective 3D. Room perspectives can change depending on how you entered, while the initial movement into a room’s main space is automated. Instructions appear at the bottom of the screen, directing you toward the objects required for each task.

Search for items such as umbrellas, keys, and skateboards. Multiple objects can be carried and selected using the S key. Developed and published by Gremlin Graphics Software for PC (Microsoft Windows) and the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
