Guilty Gear

Guilty Gear is set in the 22nd century, after scientists discover how to create artificial beings known as gears by combining human and animal DNA with ancient magic. Designed to obey humanity, the gears later rebel under the leadership of Justice, a gear capable of independent thought.

After Justice escapes captivity, the knights of the Sacred Order organize a tournament to find someone capable of stopping him. Among the contestants are Sol Badguy, a man with an uncertain past, and Ky Kiske, one of the Order’s most skilled knights. The tournament permits bloodshed, and its unusual prize is the fulfillment of the winner’s wish.
