A four-level arcade shooter set inside a colossal space creature

The briefing

About this game

In GUTZ, you have been swallowed by a ten-million-ton space being whose appetite also threatens Earth. Your only hope is to escape by destroying its four major organs: the kidneys, lungs, heart, and brain.

The game unfolds across four levels in a vast, interconnected complex of four-way scrolling tubes. Each organ is protected by a tough membrane, requiring you to assemble a powerful weapon from three parts hidden throughout the corresponding level. Antibodies attack from all directions, while contact drains energy and can cost one of your four lives.

Weapons are collected from holds concealed in the tissue walls. Spare helmets provide additional protection and increased firepower, while keys open the Super Weapon door inside each organ room. A keyboard-accessible map shows the current quadrant, and the status display tracks your score, energy, lives, and a large-scale grid map.
