About this game
Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi combines adventure, visual novel storytelling, and hack-and-slash action in a tense period setting.
As the shogunate’s influence weakens and unrest spreads, the Shinsengumi work to protect the shogun and the people from dangerous ronin. Chizuru travels to Kyoto in search of her missing father, but quickly encounters danger and comes under the Shinsengumi’s protection after learning that they are searching for him as well.
The search draws Chizuru and the Shinsengumi into political intrigue, supernatural power struggles, and the threat of an approaching war.
