1982 Action Arcade Game for ZX Spectrum

The briefing

About this game

Hard Cheese is an action arcade variant of Mr. Do! for the ZX Spectrum. The player controls an armoured bulldozer that creates paths through untouched ground and carries a green-flash weapon that requires time to reload and can also destroy the vehicle.

Each level features a central figure that produces enemy clones. After enough enemies are destroyed, the figure becomes a giant cheese and can no longer reproduce. The level is completed by destroying all remaining enemies. Cheese and soda-can objects provide points, while apple-like fruit can crush enemies under the game's gravity and weight mechanics.

Developed by Paul Johnson and published by DK`Tronics.
